MADE: British gypsum bench

The top of this bench is made from wall studs found in a pile of rubble in the building next door:

The base is made from two British Gypsum pallets.

This bench now lives at Love in a Cup on Osbourn Street East London.

Thanks to everyone who attended the open workshop it was a great success. Thanks especially to Arif Bhuiyan who took all these amazing black and white photos. 

Coat Stand of Joffrey

Joffrey came to the workshop one friday evening as I was working. After struggling to find work in London he had decided to return to France to attend design school. I encouraged Joffrey to come back before he left London and make some furniture. He returned the following week with the idea of making a coat stand. Amazing.

I have been very fortunate to have access to the Meanwhile space currently located at 3-5 Whitechapel Road. Meanwhile are an amazing group who create temporary leases on empty buildings and use them in a more positive way. EVENT: open workshop
